In hindsight, it looks a bit like I was having a go at origamiboulder.com and The Artist. Rather, I was (and still am) amused by the site.

There appear to be two schools of thought regarding The Artist... one being that he's serious, the other being that it's a very good example of performance art. I subscribe to neither. I just appreciate the site on its surface level. What I will say is that the artist linked to Geek Salad some time after this strip was published, and I appreciate the gesture.
